The Snowflake Obsidian gets its name for its mesmerizing appearance. This gemstone is a naturally occurring volcanic glass. This happens when molten lava cools quickly. Snowflake Obsidians also have a unique display of white snowflake-like webbings. As an obsidian, it’s “snowflakes” are clearly seen on the stone’s dominant black body.
